Monfragüe National Park is one of Extremadura’s greatest natural treasures. Located between the Tagus and Tiétar
rivers, it is renowned for its Mediterranean forests, mountain ranges, rocky cliffs and spectacular natural viewpoints. It is also
one of the best places in Europe for birdwatching, with iconic species such as the cinereous vulture, griffon vulture, Spanish
imperial eagle and black stork. Hiking trails, viewpoints, nearby villages and outdoor experiences make Monfragüe an ideal
destination for discovering the biodiversity and authentic landscapes of Extremadura.
